Battleverso is operated by Kiran Development ("we", "us"), which is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Our address is Schotelstraat 35, Dordrecht, the Netherlands. You can reach us about any privacy matter at info@battleverso.com.
Account information (username, email address, profile photo, bio, city), audio recordings (verses) you upload, follow relationships, battles you take part in and vote on, moderation data (reports you submit and users you block), your device push-notification token, and technical data such as your IP address, which we process to apply rate limits and prevent vote manipulation and abuse. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email address) from that provider.
To create and manage your account, run matchmaking, host your verses and run battles and voting — on the basis of performing our contract with you. To keep the platform safe: rate limiting, preventing vote manipulation, moderation, and handling reports and blocks — on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure, fair service. To send push notifications — on the basis of the permission you grant on your device, which you can withdraw at any time in your device or in-app settings. To diagnose crashes and improve stability — on the basis of our legitimate interest in a working app. To meet legal duties, including child-safety reporting obligations — on the basis of legal obligation.
We share data with service providers who process it only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us: Resend (email delivery), Expo Push together with Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android and Apple Push Notification service on iOS (push notification delivery), Railway (server hosting and database), and Sentry (crash and error diagnostics). When you choose social sign-in, Google or Apple verify your identity. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Some of our service providers process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. You can ask us for details at info@battleverso.com.
Account information is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, identifying data (email address, profile information, avatar) is erased immediately; battles, verses and votes are retained in anonymised form so battle history and rankings remain coherent and cannot be reconstructed to identify you. Security data such as IP-based rate-limit counters is short-lived and held only in temporary cache for minutes to hours. Reports are kept while needed for moderation and for as long as any legal obligation requires.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to processing, and receive it in a portable form. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or email info@battleverso.com for any other request. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or with the authority in your country of residence.
Battleverso is not intended for children. See our Terms of Service for the minimum age to hold an account, and our Child Safety Standards page for how we handle child-safety reports.
We do not use cookies or advertising trackers in the mobile app. We use Sentry to collect crash and performance diagnostics, which may include device and error information, to keep the app stable.
We may update this policy as the service changes or as the law requires. This page always shows the current version, and we will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notification.
